Peanut Chutney, a quick chutney recipe which is an excellent substitute for coconut chutney. This chutney is great with idli and dosa.
Roasted and skinned peanuts are grinded along with green/red chili and tamarind and tempered with urad dal.

Ingredients:
- Peanuts - 1 cup
- Green chilies - 5 or according to your taste
- Tamarind - small ball size of walnut
- Salt to taste
- For tempering:
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Black gram seeds/Urad dal- 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp

Method:
- In a mixer jar take peanuts, chilies, salt and grind to a fine powder.
- To this add tamarind, required amount of water and grind to a smooth paste.
- Transfer to a bowl.
- For tempering : Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera , mustard seeds.
- When it splutters add black gram dal , curry leaves and fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour it over the chutney & serve.
- Enjoy with idli or dosa.
