Cauliflower Masala Fry

Quick and easy recipe where cauliflower florets are cooked in garam masala and fried till dry.



Ingredients :

  • Cauliflower - 1 medium
  • Onion -   1
  • Jeera - 1/2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Urad Dal -1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oli - 2 tbsp

Preparation:


              Take one medium sized cauliflower and remove the stems. Cut the the cauliflower in to florets of medium-sized. Drop it into boiling water and leave it for sometime. Drain and keep aside.


Method :


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera  and mustard seeds. When it splutters add urad dal and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add chopped onion,salt ,turmeric powder and mix well. Cook covered on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
  • Open the lid and stir the cauliflower.  Again cook covered for a minute.repeat the same process of cooking and frying till the cauliflower is almost cooked.
  • when done open the lid and fry the cauliflowers for 1-2 minutes or till it is dry.
  • Add garam masala powder and mix gently. The masala absorbs the moisture and the curry will become dry.
  • Now Cauliflower fry is ready to be served.
